This device contains all the necessary logic to municate with the host puter via the USB Bus. The MCS7780 operates in Bus-Powered mode, and uses a reduced frequency (12MHz) crystal oscillator. This bination of Features allows significant cost savings in system design along with straight forward implementation of Ir DA port functionality into PC peripherals using the host’s USB port.
