Overview: Smart Card Interconnect Devices CCM01 Reverse version MK I: MK I connectors have fixed contacts and a blade shown Fig. 1 Fig. 2 card detection switch un58.0 sealed. These connectors are intended for applications where the card usage is relatively low and the environment is benign. MK II: EMV™ Compatible. 55.6 MK II connectors with fixed contacts have been devel36.2 40.0 oped for applications where a landing contact mechanism is not required but performance and reliability are still key considerations. MK III: EMV Compatible. MK III connectors are intended for applications such as pay TV, home shopping and utility meters. Mainly driven by the Set Top Box market for payment and /or deciphering. CCM03 Fig. 4 17.2 29.65 CCM02 - Fig. 3 MK I: MK I is a connector with landing contacts. The contacts do not touch the 55.6 card until it is almost fully inserted - a minimal wiping action removes any nonconductive material. Designed to give a positive feel as the card is fully inserted.
