DESCRIPTION
The MP2136 is a 2MHz constant frequency,
current mode, PWM step-down converter with
integrated main switch and synchronous

2MHz Constant Switching Frequency
O 1A Available Load Current
F 2.5V to 6V Input Voltage Range
rectifier that is ideal for powering portable
equipment that runs from a single Li-Ion or Li-
Polymer battery.
D The MP2136 can supply up to 1A load current
from a 2.5V to 6V input voltage. The output
E voltage can be as low as 0.6V.
D Additional features include <1µA shutdown
S N current, internal soft-start, cycle-by-cycle over
current protection, short circuit protection, and
EN N 1 thermal shutdown.
M IG 4 The MP2136 is available in a 6-pin, QFN6
OM ES P21 2mm×2mm package.

Notes:
1) Exceeding these ratings may damage the device.
2) The maximum allowable power dissipation is a function of the
maximum junction temperature TJ (MAX), the junction-to-
ambient thermal resistance θJA, and the ambient temperature
TA. The maximum allowable continuous power dissipation at
any ambient temperature is calculated by PD (MAX) = (TJ
(MAX)-TA)/θJA. Exceeding the maximum allowable power
dissipation will cause excessive die temperature, and the
regulator will go into thermal shutdown. Internal thermal
shutdown circuitry protects the device from permanent
damage.
3) The device is not guaranteed to function outside of its
operating conditions.
4) Measured on JESD51-7, 4-layer PCB.
