DESCRIPTION
The MP3428 is a 600 kHz fixed frequency, high
efficiency, wide input range, current mode boost
converter with input disconnecting function and
adjustable inrush current limit. This converter is
specially designed for systems where a voltage
bus must be protected to prevent systems from
being interrupted or damaged by the load short
conditions. It features internally a current limit
switch gate drive, a 10m, 24V power switch
and a synchronous gate driver for high
converter efficiency. An external compensation
pin gives the user flexibility in setting loop
dynamics and obtaining the optimal transient
performance at all conditions.
The MP3428 also includes under-voltage
lockout, switching current limiting and thermal
shutdown to prevent damage in the event of
output overload. The MP3428 is available in a
low profile 22-pin 3mmx4mm FCQFN package.

Notes:
1) Exceeding these ratings may damage the device.
2) The maximum allowable power dissipation is a function of the
maximum junction temperature TJ (MAX), the junction-to-
ambient thermal resistance θJA, and the ambient temperature
TA. The maximum allowable continuous power dissipation at
any ambient temperature is calculated by PD (MAX) = (TJ
(MAX)-TA)/θJA. Exceeding the maximum allowable power
dissipation will cause excessive die temperature, and the
regulator will go into thermal shutdown. Internal thermal
shutdown circuitry protects the device from permanent
damage.
