D A T A S H E E T Optoelectronics PerkinElmer Pre-Heat Germicidal Lamps Description Low Pressure Germicidal/Ozone lamps emit the majority of their energy at 253.7 nm and 185 nm. These UV wavelengths are most effective for the destruction of bacteria, virus, spores, many chemical bonds and ozone generations. PerkinElmer makes lamps to fit most of the common UV systems in the field today used for: wastewater disinfection, air disinfection, TOC reduction, Ozone generation, ground water remediation, and many other applications where the energy at 254 nm or 185 nm is required. PerkinElmer lamps are available in lengths from 5 ½ inches to over 72 inches long (base face to base face).
