These transistors are especially suitable for use in audio and inverter circuits in 12-volt mobile radio and portable munications equipment. Type 40250Vl, with an attached heat radiator, is intended for those applications which require a rugged transistor for mounting on a printed-circuit board. Tabs are provided on the underside of the radiator for mounting purposes and for making electrical connection to the collector {which is connected internally to the mounting flange of the TO-66 Package}. .SILICON N-P-N POWER TRANSISTORS General- Purpose Types for Industrial and mercial Applications - The "VI- suffix in the type number "40250VI- designates' the first variant of the basic type 40250.
