Overview

DATASHEET ISL8483E, ISL8485E ESD Protected to ±15kV, 5V, Low Power, High Speed or Slew Rate Limited RS-485/RS-422 Transceivers FN6048 Rev.12.00 Aug 31, 2017 The ISL8483E and ISL8485E are ESD protected, BiCMOS 5V powered, single transceivers that meet both the RS-485 and RS-422 standards for balanced communication.

Each driver output/receiver input is protected against ±15kV ESD strikes, without latch-up.

Unlike competitive devices, this Intersil family is specified for 10% tolerance supplies (4.5V to 5.5V).

Key Features
