Features
The TD1730 is a single‐phase, constant‐on‐time, z synchronous PWM controller, which drives N‐channel z
MOSFETs. The TD1730 steps down high voltage to z generate low‐voltage chipset or RAM supplies in notebook z puters.
The TD1730 provides excellent transient response and z accurate DC voltage output in either PFM or PWM Mode. In z
Pulse Frequency Mode (PFM), the TD1730 provides very high z efficiency over light to heavy loads with loading‐ modulated z switching frequencies. In PWM Mode, the converter works z nearly at constant frequency for low‐noise requirements. z
The TD1730 is equipped with accurate positive current‐ limit, z output under‐voltage, and output over‐voltage z protections, perfect for NB applications. The Power‐On‐ z
Reset function monitors the voltage on VCC to prevent z wrong operation during power‐on. The TD1730 has a 1ms z digital soft‐start and built‐in an integrated output z discharge method for soft‐stop. An internal integrated z soft‐start ramps up the output voltage with programmable z slew rate to reduce the start‐up current. A soft‐stop function z actively discharges the output capacitors with controlled z reverse inductor current. z
