6AK7 / 6AG7 - Pentode, IF or Video Amplifier 6AK7 is one of the very few tubes registered in US by Canadian REL. Through WWII Research Enterprise Limited was the engineering and manufacturing arm of Canadian National Research Council, established to build optical devices, as binoculars and gunsights, and radar sets. 6AK7 was an improved variant of the RCA 6AG7 video amplifier, with greater transconductance and anode current raised to 20 mA.
