AC-DC PWM CONTROLLER PRIMARY SWITCHING REGULATORS DESCRIPTION The AP8010 is a high performance AC-DC off‐line controller for low power battery charger and adapter applications with Universal‐input. It uses Pulse Frequency and Width Modulation (PFWM) method to build discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) flyback power supplies. The AP8010 utilizes primary‐side sensing and regulation technology to provide accurate constant voltage, constant current (CV/CC) regulation without requiring an opto‐coupler and secondary control circuitry.
