The AFS4000 and AFS6000 power shelves are designed to house Artesyn standard AFE2000 series front-end power supplies. The shelves mount into standard 19 inch racks. The power shelf provides input filtering and protection and individual 20 Amp circuit breakers for each AFE2000 power supply are provided on the front end of the shelf. An output bus bar on the rear of the unit is provided for distribution of the main output to system payload. Control, diagnostic and protection signals and the auxiliary output from AFE2000 power supplies are routed through the power shelf to a parallel interface connector on the rear of the unit.
