Description

The AVL2108 is a highly integrated DVB-S2 and DVB-S channel receiver IC.

It converts a baseband analog IQ signal from a satellite tuner and performs a set of sophisticated demodulating and decoding operations to output an MPEG video/audio stream.

AVL2108 DVB-S2/DVB-S Channel Receiver Data Sheet Description The AVL2108 is a highly integrated DVB-S2 and DVB-S channel receiver IC. It converts a baseband analog IQ signal from a satellite tuner and performs a set of sophisticated demodulating and decoding operations to output an MPEG video/audio stream. The AVL2108 provides simple and flexible control via a standard two-wire bus. A simplified block diagram of the device is shown in Figure 1-1. The AVL2108 includes dual, differential, high performance, analog to digital converters (ADC) with a built-in compensation circuit for DC offset and IQ imbalance. An RF AGC output is provided for simple gain control of the satellite tuner via an RC network.
