The BL8042B is a constant frequency, current mode step-up converter intended for small, low power applications.

The BL8042B switches at 1.2MHz and allows the use of tiny, low cost capacitors and inductors 2mm or less in height.

BL8042B High Efficiency 1.2MHz 28V 2A Step-up DC/DC Converter DESCRIPTION The BL8042B is a constant frequency, current mode step-up converter intended for small, low power applications. The BL8042B switches at 1.2MHz and allows the use of tiny, low cost capacitors and inductors 2mm or less in height. Internal soft-start results in small inrush current and extends battery life. The BL8042B includes under-voltage lockout, current limiting, and thermal overload protection to prevent damage in the event of an output overload. BL8042B is available in SOT23-6 package that is PB free. FEATURES  2V to 24V Input Voltage  Up to 28V Output Voltage  Integrated 80mΩ Power MOSFET  1.
