General Description

The Broadcom® BCM84891L is a single 10GBASE-T/ 5GBASE-T/2.5GBASE-T/1000BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet CMOS transceiver.

The device performs all physical-layer functions for 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 100BASE-TX Ethernet on Category 6, 6A, or 7 twisted-pair cable.

The 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 100BASE-TX can operate on standard Category 5e UTP.
