®S2430 Chipown 1 MHz, 3.0 A, Synchronous Step-Down Converter General Description The APS2430 is a high efficiency monolithic synchronous buck regulator using a constant frequency, current mode architecture. Supply current down to 60 µA at no load and < 1 µA at shutdown. The 2.7 V to 6.0 V input voltage range makes the APS2430 ideally suited for single-cell Li-Ion batteries and two to four AA battery-powered applications. 100% duty cycle provides low-dropout operation to extend the battery life of portable systems. PWM pulse skipping mode operation provides very low output ripple voltage for noise sensitive applications. The switching frequency is internally set to 1 MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors.
