ECT3410 2A, 1.2MHz Step-Down Converter Description The ECT34 10 is a 1.2M Hz constant frequency current mode PWM step-down co nverter. It is ideal for po rtable equipment requiri ng ve ry high current up to 2A from single-cell Lit hium-ion batt eries whil e st ill achieving over 90% efficiency during peak load conditions. The ECT3410 also can run at 100% duty cycle for low dropout operation, extending battery life in p ortable systems while lig ht load operation provides very lo w output ripple for noise sensitive applications. The ECT341 0 ca n supply up to 2A o utput load current from a 2.5V t o 5.5V input voltage and the outp ut voltage can be regulated as lo w as 0.6V. The high swit ching frequency mi nimizes the size of external co mponents while keeping switching l osses low.
