EM8900
EM8900 is ULTRA-LOW VOLTAGE DCDC BOOST CONVERTER manufactured by EM Microelectronic.
DESCRIPTION The EM8900 is an integrated ultra-low power DCDC converter specifically designed for the Thermal Electrical Generators (TEG). The device starts and operates autonomously with an input voltage of as low as 5m V in the μW to m W range. No additional supply voltage is required to start the DCDC. This ultra-low voltage operating level allows using a TEG with a low Seebeck coefficient, thus reducing its mechanical size and cost. The boost converter is inductive and uses a standard transformer, such as the LPR6235 series by Coilcraft. The EM8900, coupled with the EM8502, offers a plete power management solution including the thermal energy harvesting, the energy storage supervising and the supply outputs controlling (include URL of the EM8502 datasheet) Ɩ Optimized for low-cost and small TEG’s Ɩ patible with standard transformer from the market Ɩ Adapted to the EM8502 for a plete power management solution APPLICATIONS Ɩ Thermal electrical generator harvesting Ɩ Wearable devices supplied by the body heat Ɩ Beacons and wireless sensor networks Ɩ Industrial and environmental monitoring Ɩ Battery operated platforms FEATURES Ɩ Ultra-low voltage DCDC operating and starting-up down to Vin = 5m V without help from external supply Copyright 2024, EM Microelectronic-Marin SA EM8900, Version 4.2, 17.04.2024 .emmicroelectronic. 420005-A01, 3.0 DATASHEET Ɩ EM8900 LX2 LX1 LX0 6 7 8 9 10 VSUP AVSS2 AVSS1 AVSS0 TABLE OF CONTENTS 1.
