2 Channel High Performance SMART ADC Product Datasheet The SABRE® ES9823MPRO & ES9823PRO High Performance SMART ADC are world class 2-channel analog to digital converters incorporating the ESS’ 2nd generation Audio Signal Processor targeting professional and consumer applications with unprecedented performance and audio quality.
The ES9823MPRO is the world’s 1st ADC to incorporate MQA’s innovative FOQUS by MQA Labs® architecture.
The ES9823MPRO & ES9823PRO have 2 integrated DUAL ADCs using ESS’ patented Hyperstream® IV ADC architecture which delivers unprecedented audio sound quality, including a DNR of +128dB and THD+N of -117dB per channel in 2 channel mode and > +130dB DNR in mono mode.
The ES9823MPRO & ES9823PRO SMART ADCs incorporates the 2nd generation ESS Audio Signal Processor (ASP2) that allows customers to create their preferred audio recording algorithms through the SABRE Intelligence Studio (SI Studio). This reduces or may eliminate the need for an external DSP which will simplify programming and lower BOM costs. An additional digital input is also available for mixing into the ASP2 from an external digital source or multi-chip-mixing.
The ES9823MPRO & ES9823PRO support S/PDIF encoding, PCM master/slave, TDM, PDM, DSD, DoP and RAW outputs. PDM microphone inputs are also supported.
Built-in digital filters, including DC blocking, and an optional custom filter allow for custom sound and latency preferences.
The ES9823MPRO & ES9823PRO have an Ultra-Low Noise Floor Band width of 200kHz. This bandwidth is up to 10 times wider than the competition, enabling higher resolution at higher sample rates.
