EUP3654 Preliminary 6 Channel, 1X/1.5X Charge Pump White LED Driver DESCRIPTION Features The EUP3654 is a high efficiency charge pump white 1X/1.5X Mode for Ultra-High Efficiency LED driver. It supports 6 white LEDs with regulated 0.5m A to 25m A Output Current for Each constant current for uniform intensity. The EUP3654 Channel maintains the highest efficiency by utilizing a 1.5X 2.7V to 5.5V Input Voltage fractional charge pump and low dropout current 1MHz Fixed Switching Frequency regulators. A low external parts count (two 2.2u F flying capacitors and two small 2.2u F capacitors at VIN and Single-Wire Serial Pulse Interface to Set LED VOUT) makes the EUP3654 ideally suited for small Current with 32-Step Scale battery-powered applications.The charge pump External PWM Dimming with 200Hz - 1KHz provides backlight current utilizing six matched current Frequency Range sinks. The load and supply conditions determine High Backlight Current Matching ±0.5% Typical whether the charge pump operates in 1x, 1.5x mode. High Backlight Current Accuracy ±1.5% Typical The EUP3654 uses single wire serial pulse interface which controls all functions of the device, including Soft Start Function enabling the part and setting LED driver’s current level Built-In Short-Circuit Protection with 32 steps. Built-in Thermal Protection The EUP3654 also provides an external PWM dimming IQ<1u A in Shutdown control while DPWM duty cycle is controlled directly TQFN 3mm × 3mm TQFN-16 package from an external PWM signal, adjusting brightness further based on image contents.
