Overview
This paper presents an efficient method to implement the widely used RSA public-key cryptography with AltiVec™, a Freescale’s SIMD extension to PowerPC® architecture, and summarizes the advantages of dual-core processors. Performance benchmark of an implementation of the e600 processor core, the MPC7447 will be shown, and compared to benchmark results of other processors based on the e600 core.
