General Description

The CPC1596 is an optically isolated, load-biased Gate Driver that requires no additional power supply to bias the external MOSFET gates;

in the off-state it regulates the voltage drawn from the load (up to 570V) down to 12.2V for internal use.

It is specifically designed for low duty cycle switching applications such as an optically isolated DC relay using a single MOSFET or an AC relay with two MOSFETs.
