17V, 3A, 1.2MHz, 0.6V VREF, High-Efficiency, Synchronous Step-Down Converter with Internal MOSFETS in a SOT563 Package DESCRIPTION The MP1653A is a fully integrated, highfrequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down switch-mode converter with internal power MOSFETs. The MP1653A offers a very pact solution that can achieve up to 3A of continuous output current (IOUT) across a wide input voltage (VIN) range, with excellent load and line regulation. Synchronous mode provides high efficiency across the entire IOUT load range. Constant-on-time (COT) control provides fast transient response, easy loop design, and tight output regulation. Full protection Features include short-circuit protection (SCP), over-current protection (OCP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and thermal shutdown. The MP1653A requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external ponents, and is available in a space-saving SOT563 (1.6mmх1.6mm) package.
