MP2167AGQE - Synchronous Buck Converter

Download the MP2167AGQE datasheet PDF. This datasheet also covers the MP2167A variant, as both devices belong to the same synchronous buck converter family and are provided as variant models within a single manufacturer datasheet.

General Description

The MP2167A is a configurable-frequency (300kHz to 2.2MHz), synchronous step-down converter.

It can achieve up to 6A of continuous output current (IOUT) with peak current control for excellent transient response and efficiency.

Key Features

  • including soft start, an external SYNC clock, enable control, and a power good indicator. In addition, the MP2167A provides over-current protection (OCP) with valley current detection to avoid current runaway, short-circuit protection (SCP), reliable over-voltage protection (OVP), and thermal protection with automatic recovery. With internal compensation, the MP2167A requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in a QFN-14 (3mmx3mm) package. MP.

DESCRIPTION The MP2167A is a configurable-frequency (300kHz to 2.2MHz), synchronous step-down converter. It can achieve up to 6A of continuous output current (IOUT) with peak current control for excellent transient response and efficiency. The MP2167A operates from a 2.7V to 6V input voltage (VIN) range and generates an output voltage (VOUT) as low as 0.606V. The device is well-suited for a wide range of applications, including portable instruments, industrial supplies, and battery-powered devices. The MP2167A integrates a 35mΩ high-side MOSFET (HS-FET) and a 25mΩ synchronous rectifier for high efficiency without an external Schottky diode. The MP2167A can be configured for either advanced asynchronous modulation (AAM) mode or forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) under light loads.
