The MPQ4228 integrates a monolithic, stepdown switch-mode converter with a single USB current-limit switch, as well as a Type-C 5V @ 3A mode configuration channel for USB ports.

MPQ4228 3A, 36V, Buck Converter with USB Charging Port Supporting DCP and Type-C 5V @ 3A DFP Mode, AEC-Q100 Qualified DESCRIPTION The MPQ4228 integrates a monolithic, stepdown switch-mode converter with a single USB current-limit switch, as well as a Type-C 5V @ 3A mode configuration channel for USB ports. It achieves 3A of output current across a wide input supply range, with excellent load and line regulation. The USB switch’s output is current-limited. The USB port supports Apple 3A Divider mode, DCP schemes for BC1.2, and 1.2V/1.2V mode. The USB port also supports USB Type-C 5V @ 3A DFP Mode and Type-A mode (CC1 = 97.6kΩ).
