MAX40659 - Transimpedance Amplifier

Download the MAX40659 datasheet PDF. This datasheet also covers the MAX40658 variant, as both devices belong to the same transimpedance amplifier family and are provided as variant models within a single manufacturer datasheet.

General Description

The MAX40658 and MAX40659 are transimpedance amplifiers for optical distance measurement receivers for LiDAR applications.

Low noise, high gain, low group delay, and fast recovery from overload make these parts ideal for distance-measurement applications.

Key Features

  • include 45nARMS input-referred noise, an internal 100mA clamp, 18kΩ (MAX40658) and 36kΩ (MAX40659) transimpedance, and greater than 360MHz bandwidth. An offset input allows adjustment of input offset current. Operating from a +3.3V supply, the MAX40658 and MAX40659 consume only 70mW. The MAX40658 and MAX40659 are available in a 3mm x 3mm, 8-pin TDFN package or bare die, and are specified over the -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range.
