MAX8855A - 2MHz Step-Down Regulators

Download the MAX8855A datasheet PDF. This datasheet also covers the MAX8855 variant, as both devices belong to the same 2mhz step-down regulators family and are provided as variant models within a single manufacturer datasheet.

General Description

The MAX8855/MAX8855A high-efficiency, dual step-down regulators are capable of delivering up to 5A at each output.

The devices operate from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply, and provide output voltages from 0.6V to 0.9 x VIN, making them ideal for on-board point-of-load applications.

The devices operate from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply, and provide output voltages from 0.6V to 0.9 x VIN, making them ideal for on-board point-of-load applications. Total output error is less than ±1% over load, line, and temperature. The MAX8855/MAX8855A operate in PWM mode with a switching frequency ranging from 0.5MHz to 2MHz, set by an external resistor. It can also be synchronized to an external clock in the same frequency range.
