SY88289BL
SY88289BL is CML Limiting Post Amplifier manufactured by Micrel Semiconductor.
3.3V, 3.2Gbps CML Limiting Post Amplifier with High-Gain TTL Loss-of-Signal General Description Features The SY88289BL low-power limiting, post amplifier is - Single 3.3V power supply designed for use in fiber-optic receivers. The device - DC to 3.2Gbps operation connects to typical transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs). - Low-noise CML data outputs The linear signal output from TIAs can contain - High-gain LOS significant amounts of noise and may vary in amplitude - Chatter-free open-collector TTL signal detect (LOS) over time. The SY88289BL quantizes these signals and output with internal 4.75kΩ pull-up resistor outputs CML level waveforms. - TTL /EN input The SY88289BL operates from a single +3.3V power supply, over temperatures ranging from - 40o C to +85o C. - Programmable LOS level set (LOSLVL) With its wide bandwidth, high gain, and signals with data - Ideal for mutil-rate applications rates up to 3.2Gbps and as small as 5m VPP can be - Available in a tiny 16-pin MLF® package amplified to drive devices with CML inputs or ACcoupled CML/PECL inputs. Applications The SY88289BL generates a high-gain loss-of-signal - APON, BPON, EPON, and gpon (LOS) open-collector TTL output. This function has a - Gigabit Ethernet high-gain input stage for increased LOS sensitivity. A - Fibre Channel programmable loss-of-signal level set pin (LOSLVL) sets - OC-3 and OC-12/24 SONET/SDH the sensitivity of the input amplitude detection. LOS asserts high if the input amplitude falls below .. the - High-gain line driver and line receiver threshold set by LOSLVL and de-asserts low otherwise. Markets The enable bar input (/EN) de-asserts the true output signal without removing the input signal. The LOS - FTTP output can be fed back to the /EN input to maintain - Optical transceivers output stability under a loss-of-signal condition. Typically - Data/tele 3.5d B LOS hysteresis is provided to prevent chattering. - Low-gain TIA interface All support documentation...
