This Thyristor Surge Suppressor device has been especially designed to protect subscriber line cards against overvoltage. The ”4point” configuration ensures a reliable protection, eliminating overvoltages introduced by the parasitic inductances of the wiring (Ldi/dt), especially for very fast transient overvoltages.
