LIMITED WARRANTY Except as specified belo w, the warranty that may be pro vided by the dealer covers all def ects in mater ial or w orkmanship in this product. The following are not covered by the warranty: 1. Any product on which the ser ial number has been def aced, modified or removed. 2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from; a. Accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, fire, water , dust, smoke, lightning or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product. b. Repair or attempted repair by non-authorized persons. c. Any shipment of product (claim must be presented to the carrier). d. Removal or installation of the product. e. Any other causes which do not relate to a product defect. 3. Cartons, carr ying cases, batteries, external cabinets, CDROM, or anyaccessories used in connection with the product. 4. Removal or installation charges. 5. Cost of initial technical adjustments (set-up), including adjustment of user controls. These costs are the responsibility of the dealer from whom the product was purchased. 6. Payment of shipping charges.
