Overview

The µPD17201A, 17207 is a 4-bit single-chip microcontroller, used for infrared remote control transmitters, which in-tegrates an LCD controller/driver, A/D converter, and remote controller carrier generator circuit on a single chip. For the CPU, this microcontroller employs the 17K architecture of the general-purpose register method, and it can directly execute operations between data memory addresses which would have been conventionally executed by an accumulator.
