The µPD6P8, 6P8A, 6P8B are microcontrollers for infrared remote control transmitters and are provided with a one-time PROM as the program memory.

  • Data memory (RAM): 32 × 4 bits.
  • On-chip carrier generator for infrared remote control: The high-level and low-level width can be set separately from 250 ns to 64 µs (@ fX = 4 MHz operation) via modulo registers.
  • 9-bit programmable timer: 1 channel.
  • Instruction execution time: 16 µs (@ fX = 4 MHz).
  • Stack level: 1 level (stack RAM is for data memory RF as well).
  • I/O pins (KI/O): 8 units.

Because users can write programs for the µPD6P8, 6P8A, 6P8B, They are ideal for program evaluation and smallscale production of application systems that use the µPD67A, 67B, 68A, 68B.
