General Description

The PCF87852 combines the Bluetooth™ protocol stack, Link Controller (LC), Link Manager (LM), and Host Controller Interface (HCI) ﬁrmware of the Bluetooth system speciﬁcation in a single IC with embedded software.

Together with an RF module, a few external components and an antenna it forms a Bluetooth system.

In most cases this module will be attached to a host, for example a GSM baseband controller or a PC processor.
