MSM6588 Overview
The MSM6588/6588L is a "solid-state recorder" IC developed using the ADPCM method. By externally connecting a microphone, a speaker, a speaker amplifier and a serial register or other memory device to store ADPCM data, it can record and playback voice data like a tape recorder. The MSM6588/6588L has a stand-alone mode and a microcontroller interface mode.
