DESCRIPTION The MSM9405 is a munication controller conforming to Ir DA, the international standard for infrared data munication. The device covers the Ir DA physical specifications Ver.1.0 and 1.1. Since the device performs some of the functions concerning munication protocol control, the load on the software (firmware) for protocol control can be reduced. By bining the device with another microcontroller and an infrared transceiver module, a device provided with Ir DA-pliant munication function can be configured.
