MC1494 Overview

Linear Four−Quadrant Multiplier The MC1494 is designed for use where the output voltage is a linear product of two input voltages. Typical applications include: multiply, divide, square root, mean square, phase detector, frequency doubler, balanced modulator/ demodulator, electronic gain control. The MC1494 is a variable transconductance multiplier with internal level−shift circuitry and voltage regulator. Scale factor, input offsets and output offset are pletely adjustable with the use of four external potentiometers.
