Single Chip 3-Axis Magnetic Sensor QMC6983 Advanced Information The QMC6983 is a single chip three-axis magnetic sensor. This surfacemount, small sized chip has integrated magnetic sensors with signal c ondition ASIC, targeted for applications such as passing, map rotation, gaming and personal navigation in mobile and personal hand-held devices. The QMC6983 is based on our state-of-the-art, high resolution, magnetoresistive technology. Along with custom-designed 16-bit ADC ASIC, it offers the advantages of low noise, high accuracy, low power consumption, offset cancellation and temperature pensation. QMC6983 enables 1° to 2° pass heading accuracy. The I²C serial bus allows for easy interface. The QMC6983 is in a 1.6x1.6x0.75mm3 surface mount 12-pin leadless grid array (LGA) package.
