Multi-phase buck converter architecture uses interleaved timing to multiply channel ripple frequency and reduce input and output ripple currents. The ISL6556B utilizes rDS(ON) current sensing in each phase for adaptive voltage positioning (droop), channelcurrent balancing, and overcurrent protection.
