Overview: Datasheet ISL68229, ISL68239
Digital Triple Output, 12-Phase PWM Controller The ISL68229 and ISL68239 are digital triple output multiphase (X+Y+Z ≤ 12) PWM controllers supporting PMBus V1.3/AVSBus interfaces. The controller can be configured to support any phase assignments up to a maximum of twelve phases across the three outputs (X, Y, and Z). For example, 10+1+1, 10+2, 8+2+1, 1+1, or even single output operation as a 12+0 configuration is supported. Increased power density, bined with support for the PMBus V1.3 interface, allows the device to support any demanding power supply requirement.
Additionally, the ISL68239 with AVSBus plements PMBus by providing a mon high-speed interface to accelerate point-to-point munication between the controller and load to statically and dynamically control the processor voltage, delivering a balanced, power efficient design.
The ISL68229 and ISL68239 use the proprietary Renesas digital synthetic current modulation scheme to achieve the industry-best bination of transient response, ease of tuning, and efficiency across the full load range.
