General Description

The RTQ2116C combines a USB Type-C Downstream Facing Port (DFP) controller, charging port controller and a 3.5A synchronous buck converter.

The RTQ2116C monitors the Type-C Configuration Channel (CC) lines to detect an Upstream Facing Port (UFP) device attach event, then turns on external VBUS MOSFET to apply power to VBUS and communicates the selectable VBUS current sourcing capability.

The RTQ2116C provides the electrical signatures on D+/D- to support charging schemes compatible with the USB 2.0 Battery Charging Specification BC1.2 and Chinese Telecommunication Industry Standard YD/T 1591-2009.
