Preliminary Overview
The LC74982W is an LCD display scan converter IC that converts NTSC and PAL TV signals to XGA resolution. The video signal-processing circuits required to implement an LCD TV set can be easily formed by bining this IC with a digital decoder, a microcontroller, and an LCD panel. Since this IC does not require an external frame memory for resolution conversion, it can contribute to minimizing total costs.
