TDA1024 - ZERO CROSSING TRIAC TRIGGER

General Description

The TDA1024 generates positive-going output pulses to trigger a triac.

These trigger pulses coincide with the zero crossings of the mains voltage.

This minimizes r.f.

Key Features

  • are:.
  • adjustable trigger pulse width.
  • adjustable hysteresis.
  • supplied from the mains.
  • provides supply fo r external temperature bridge.
  • protected inputs and output.
  • low supply current, low dissipation Q U IC K R E F E R E N C E D ATA Supply voltage (d. c. ) (internally derived from mains voltage) Supply current (average value, unloaded) Output current H IG H O utput pulse w idth Power dissipation (unloaded) Operating am bient temperature rang.

LINEAR LSI PRODUCTS ZERO CROSSING TRIAC TRIGGER TDA1024 G E N E R A L D ESC R IPT IO N The T D A 1 0 2 4 is a bipolar integrated circuit delivering positive pulses for triggering a triac or a thyristor. It is prim arily intended for use as a static switch to replace mechanical thermostats that switch resistive loads, such as: • central heating installations • washing machine heaters • water heaters • smoothing irons The T D A 1 02 4 provides its own d.c. supply and will supply an external circuit, e.g. a tem perature sensing bridge. The circuit complies w ith the regulations on radio interference and mains distortion.
