The Winbond W88111AF/W88112F supports ATAPI CD-ROM specification (SFF 8020). Some ATAPI operations are executed by hardware to minimize system overhead, including ATAPI mand and packet transfer, data transfer, ATAPI Soft Reset mand, and Executive Drive Diagnostics mand.
