Description

The TPS56C230 is a high efficiency synchronous buck converter with integrated FETs.

System designers can use the device in a wide variety of applications since it draws low standby current and requires few external components.

Features

  • 1 Input voltage range: 4.5 V to 18 V.
  • Output voltage range: 0.6 V to 5.5 V.
  • Supports 12-A continuous output current.
  • D-CAP3™ architecture control for fast transient response.
  • ±1% feedback voltage accuracy (25°C).
  • Integrated 17-mΩ and 5.9-mΩ FETs.
  • Selectable Eco-mode™ and Forced Continuous Conductive Mode (FCCM) by MODE pin.
  • 500-kHz switching frequency.
  • Adjustable soft-start time with default 1.2 ms.
