Overview The Broad® HSM9-C450 is a is a side-emitting, surface-mount IR Chip LED. This IR chip LED is available in the industry-popular package size of 3.0 mm × 2.51 mm. This product es with an integrated optical lens that narrows the viewing angle of the light beam, thereby minimizing cross talk and increasing the on-axis intensity. The narrow viewing angle allows effective light coupling into secondary optics like light guides and light pipes. This IR Chip LED is available in a 940-nm peak wavelength. Coupled with its narrow viewing angle, these features make this product suitable for applications such as remote control in home appliances, smart utility metering, and light curtains in industrial automation. It is patible with industry-standard automatic machine placement and reflow soldering.
