Considerations for using Motor Control Circuit
(PMD:Programmable Motor Driver)
Following considerations are necessary for writing data to electrical lead angle timer (ELDEG) and reading 2 bytes resisters.
1. Writing data to electrical lead angle timer (ELDEG) In case of writing the maximum data 0x017F and the minimum data 0x0000 to electrical angle timer during
operating, there is a case that counter value may not clear. ・ Do not write 0x017F(383) to ELDEG resister during up count operation. ・ Do not write 0x0000 to ELDEG resister during down count operation.
2. Reading 2 bytes resisters In case of reading 2 bytes resister (MCAP,CMPU,CMPV,CMPW,MDCNT,EDCAP,ELDEG) during op-
erating, there is a case that non proper value is read. The following consideration is needed for reading each resister. ・ MCAP, EDCAP Read before next INTPDC (Position Detect interrupt). ・ COMPU, COMPV, COMPW Read the resisters during operation stop (EDCRB=0) ・ MDCNT Read MDCNT resister after PWM waveform generation circuit stop (MDCRA=0). ・ ELDEG Read ELDEG resister two or more times and compare them with expected data TMP89FM82 Date 2009/12/14 2010/1/29
