The MP8128 is a highly integrated voltage regulator designed to provide efficient, lownoise power and interface signals to a satellite receiver’s low noise block downconverter (LNB) at the antenna port.

MP8128 1A, LNB Voltage Regulator with I2C Interface and DiSEqC 2.x Function DESCRIPTION The MP8128 is a highly integrated voltage regulator designed to provide efficient, lownoise power and interface signals to a satellite receiver’s low noise block downconverter (LNB) at the antenna port. The device provides a 22kHz tone signal and a standard I2C interface for satellite receivers. It is compatible with both DiSEqC 1.x and DiSEqC 2.x. The MP8128 integrates a boost regulator followed by a tracking linear regulator. The boost regulator provides a power source that exceeds the final output voltage by 1.1V, while the tracking linear regulator provides low noise power and protects the output against overloads or shorts.
