APPLICATIONS - - 802.11b/g WLAN 2.4 GHz ISM Equipment S28 Package 16 Pin 3 mm x 3 mm x 0.9 mm LPCC PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The ANADIGICS AWL9224 power amplifier is a high performance In Ga P HBT IC designed for transmit applications in the 2.4-2.5 GHz band. Matched to 50V at the input and output, the part requires no additional RF matching ponents off-chip. The PA exhibits unparalleled linearity for both IEEE 802.11g and 802.11b WLAN systems under the toughest signal configurations within these standards. The power detector is temperature pensated on the chip, enabling a single-ended output voltage with excellent accuracy over a wide range of operating temperatures. The PA is biased by a single +3.3 V supply and consumes ultra-low current in the OFF mode. The AWL9224 is manufactured using advanced In Ga P HBT technology that offers state-of-the-art reliability, temperature stability and ruggedness. The AWL9224 is Ro HS (Restrictions on Hazardous Substances) pliant. It is provided in a 3 x 3 x 0.9 mm LPCC package optimized for a 50V system.
