It is built around a 16-bit, fixedpoint, industry-standard Oak DSPCore. Additionally, the DSP subsystem embeds all elements necessary to run plex DSP algorithms independently without any external resources. The self-contained subsystem contains the Oak DSPCore itself, program memory, data memory, an on-chip emulation module and a flexible codec interface. These resources allow the subsystem to run plex DSP routines, such as V.34 modem emulation or state-of-the-art voice pression.
