General Description

The ATS16951PSM is an optimized giant magnetoresistance (GMR) integrated circuit (IC) and permanent magnet pellet bined with integrated EMC protection ponents to provide a user-friendly solution for digital gear tooth sensing.

The small package can be easily assembled and used in conjunction with a wide variety of gear tooth targets and is intended for automotive crankshaft applications.

The device incorporates multiple GMR elements into a single IC that switches in response to differential magnetic signals created by a ferromagnetic target.
