MAX42406 - 6A Fully Integrated Synchronous Buck Converters

Download the MAX42406 datasheet PDF. This datasheet also covers the MAX42405 variant, as both devices belong to the same 6a fully integrated synchronous buck converters family and are provided as variant models within a single manufacturer datasheet.

General Description

The MAX42405/MAX42406 ICs are tiny synchronous buck converters with integrated high-side and low-side switches.

The ICs are designed to deliver up to 6A with wide input voltages ranging from 4.5V to 36V.

Voltage quality can be monitored by observing the PGOOD signal.

36V, 5A/6A Fully Integrated Synchronous Buck Converters MAX42405/MAX42406 General Description The MAX42405/MAX42406 ICs are tiny synchronous buck converters with integrated high-side and low-side switches. The ICs are designed to deliver up to 6A with wide input voltages ranging from 4.5V to 36V. Voltage quality can be monitored by observing the PGOOD signal. The ICs can operate in dropout by running at a very high duty cycle, making it ideal for industrial applications. The MAX42405/MAX42406 ICs offer programmable output voltage. Frequency is internally fixed at 400kHz and 1.5MHz, which allows for small external components and reduced output ripple. The ICs automatically enter skip mode at light loads with ultralow quiescent current of 20μA at no load.
